Versatile defender and midfielder Clark was considered the pick of the youth team crop for his age, having joined the Tigers production line as a ten year old. His coming of age coincided with City’s elevation to the Premier League and first team chances were zero. By 2016 Clark was still highly rated, captaining the reserve team, but needed first team experience and twice was loaned to Cambridge United. After City’s relegation in 2017 Clark was back and with experience under his belt. He made his City debut at left back in the first game of 2017-18 season, proving himself to be a well rounded defender with an attacking threat.
Clark won several England caps at under-16 and under-17 representative levels but did not maintain his place in the older youth brackets.
