1028 Kamil Grosicki

Biography

Polish international Grosicki is a right footed left winger that joined Marco Silva’s Tigers for a £9m fee on the January 2017 deadline day to add width and flair to the Tigers’ relegation battle. Grosicki frightened Premier League defences with his raw pace before puzzling those same defences with a highly variable end product.  Kamil also takes a fine free kick and was denied his opening goal for City at Southampton only by the intervention of the woodwork.

Born in Szczecin, Grosicki began his career with the local side before he signed for Legia Warsaw as a 19 year old.  After flirting with the first team, experiencing problems with a gambling addiction and being sent on loan to Polish and Swiss clubs,  he signed for Jagiellonia and made his first team mark for the first time.  Two seasons in Turkey playing for Sivasspor were followed by a move in 2014 to French Ligue 1 side Rennes.  Often used by the French side as an impact substitute, it was from their subs bench that Kamil was plucked to join City.

Grosicki played at youth levels for Poland and established himself as a regular in the senior side in 2008, playing in the 2012 and 2016 European Championships.
