1001 Dame N’Doye

Biography

Powerful Senegalese forward N’Doye joined City at the start of February 2015 in an attempt to rescue the club’s floundering Premier League survival race.  His early form was extremely positive as his goals contributed directly to points won, but his form soon tailed off as the Tigers slipped down the table.

Born in Thies, Senegal’s third largest city, N’Doye began his career at local side ASC Jeanne D’Arc.  At the age of 21 he joined Qatari league side Al-Sadd, commencing a lengthy tour of the northern hemisphere footballing world.  Short spells at Coimbra in Portugal then Panathinaikos and OFI Crete in Greece were followed by three highly fruitful seasons at Danish side FC Copenhagen.  He signed for Lokomotiv Moscow during 2012 where he again scored goals, form that led to his move to the Tigers.

N’Doye’s spell at City only lasted six months, by the summer of 2015 he had signed for Turkish side Trabzonspor.  Within four months he was back in Northern England on a half season loan at Premier League survivalists Sunderland.

N’Doye made his debut for the Senegalese senior team in 2010, and played regularly for the Lions of Teranga over several seasons.
