HCSS organises entirely voluntary sports and social events throughout the year.
Football – Hull City Southern Supporters FC (HCSSFC) are keen to recruit new players based in the London area. We played Sunday League football in the APFSCIL League – the Association of Provincial Football Supporters’ Clubs in London, although our club has been temporarily disbanded since 2017 due to a shortage of players. If you are interested in donning the black and amber (often we use an ex-first team kit!) with pride, and can play a bit (only a bit will do), then get in touch with the Committee.
Pool – HCSS also has a pool team that competes in the APFSCIL Pool League. Six players a side, six single and three doubles matches, a few beers, some sandwiches, some healthy competition and a right laugh. If you can use a cue to propel a ball towards another ball such that there’s a fair chance it will go into a pocket, this might be the opportunity for you. For further details, contact the HCSS Pool Team Organiser.
Cricket – HCSS arranges occasional cricket friendlies during the summer months, keep an eye on HCSS-Announce for details.
Football Quiz and Darts – HCSS does not currently have a quiz team or a darts team, but we used to. If you are interested in reinvigorating these teams, let the Chairman know.
Social Events – We arrange meet-ups for televised matches, see the separate page for details. We also try to arrange a “meet the players” evening before a London-based fixture, but it depends on the timing, the position of the club and the mood of the club’s management for us to succeed in pulling off such an evening. We always try every season – and whenever these events do happen, the manager and players enjoy themselves just as much as us fans.
